The Minnesota Department of Education’s (MDE) report for 2025 high school graduation rates showed St. Francis Area Schools graduation rates remained steady and well above the state average.
The 2025 overall district four-year graduation rate was 89.0%, which is 4.1% higher than the state average. St. Francis High School recorded a 95.8% graduation rate, just less than a percentage point down from last year. The MDE reported a record-high 84.9% graduation rate for the state.
The district established a goal at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year to increase the percentage of students who graduate from 88% to 93% with a stretch goal of 95% within four years (by 2026-27).
Some strategies implemented or planned for high school students to help to increase graduation rates include:
Saints Time, which is daily intervention for all classes for students who need additional help.
Early intervention with underclassmen falling behind.
Increased communications between the school and parents and between students and teachers.
Reviews of grade reports to monitor student progress and address concerns.
After-school tutoring in math and reading for students with failing mid-term grades
